Peter served for 13 years as headmaster of the Brooks School in North Andover, Massachusetts and subsequently for 5 years on the executive staff of the National Association of Independent Schools. His responsibilities at NAIS included trustee education, professional development programs for school heads, research, statistics, and publications. Peter conceived and directed the NAIS Project on Pricing and Affordability and is the principal author of “Access and Affordability: Strategic Financial Perspectives for Independent Schools” published by NAIS in 1994.
Peter is an Overseer of the New England Conservatory and serves on the US Board of Students Partnership Worldwide. Previously a trustee of the Pike School in Andover, Massachusetts, Director of the Independent School Association of Massachusetts, and member of the Trustee Committee of the Association of Independent Schools in New England, he holds a bachelor’s and master’s degrees in physics from Oxford University and a doctorate in Administration, Planning, and Social Policy from the Harvard Graduate School of Education.
Lisa first began working with Independent Schools in 1984. She taught history and French at Chatham Hall (VA) and the Fessenden School (MA) and later served as Business Manager at the Wooster School (CT). She joined Benchmark Research in 2000, where she consults to the benchmarking groups and individual schools. Lisa serves on the Board of The National Business Officers Association (NBOA) and also on the School Advisory Committee for the Belmont (MA) Public Schools. She has spoken at various symposia including the annual NBOA conference, the Virginia Association of Independent Schools conference for Heads of Schools, and The National Coalition of Girls’ Schools annual conference.
Previously, Lisa served as Director of E-Business for a division of General Electric; Managing Director of International Operations for Cannondale Corporation; and International Business Manager for TIME Warner. She has served as an advisor to Grafoprint-Neubert, a publishing company in The Czech Republic.
Lisa earned her bachelor’s degree from Hamilton College where she graduated Phi Beta Kappa and Magna Cum Laude. She earned her MBA from the Yale School of Management.
